Fiery, red haired Clara Bow was catapulted to stardom during the silent film era of the 1920's and was well known for her portrayal of the gin drinkin', jazz dancin', fun lovin' vivacious flapper. From 1927-1930, she was one of the top 5 box office stars in Hollywood. Dubbed the "It" girl, Clara was the embodiment of sex appeal and complete abandonment; a wild and crazy girl whose life often imitated art. Eventually Clara settled down, married the cowboy of her dreams and spent most of the remainder of her life on a cattle ranch in Nevada. On screen, there was no denying, Bow was special, she truly had "it".
