This is a black spiced tea blend that is intended to bring a little India to your cup in the morning. I recommend adding sugar and/or evaporated milk to create a delicious cup of smoothly spiced tea like the Kadak (Karak) chai tea that is enjoyed in India. Kadak is usually considered to be a sweet spice strong tea. More tea leaves, a little less water, and steeping longer 4-5 minutes is a great way to get the stronger spice and experience of an Indian Kadak Chai. Don't forget to add sugar and evaporated milk for a wonderfully sweet spice tea!
Karak (Kadak) Chai is a "strong tea", in both taste and colour when compared to a regular English tea. This sweet Indian tea, is made with blend of (fermented) black tea leaves, ginger and spices such as black pepper, cardamon, cinnamon, fennel and cloves. Karak (Kadak) Chai is also cooked with low heat for 5 minutes. Try steeping this tea blend longer to duplicate this. The trick to great karak chai lies in the evaporated milk (it's amazingly delicious) and also letting it come to boil a few times. Instead of boiling I let mine steep longer than usual. 4-5 minutes
