GREEN, GREEN and more GREEN! How many farms grow tea plants in the United States? the U.S. League of Tea Growers reports there are 60 farms in 15 states. Most were started in 2000 or later and several are less than five years old. I also really enjoy sitting down and sipping the beautiful green teas from China. "Luse Cha" means "green tea" in Chinese. I wanted to create a blend to show respect to the many farmers in China that devote their days to plant, tend, harvest and prepare the beautiful green teas we can sit down to enjoy. This tea is also intended to celebrate the upcoming Spring growing season that brings with it GREEN, GREEN and more GREEN! This tea is a blend of three GREEN teas from china: White Monkey, Gunpowder and a small percentage of Apricot green (10). Spring is near when the apricot blooms cover the trees, delicate greens begin to show through the golden sun (marigold flowers) and evening rain showers (cornflowers) bring life to the tender buds of spring. Coconut is an accent to represent the fresh smells in the spring breeze and the welcoming of a new season. Celebrate beautiful Green tea and the upcoming Spring! What a magnificent Planet Earth! Art by my very artistic 13 year old daughter.
