For Queen Bess, the chorange represents her rich and bright personality. The sweet cinnamon spice is an ode to her determination to fly, and a touch of Earl Grey bravo is for her bravery in a world that tried to keep her from doing what she loved.
Bessie Coleman (1892 – 1926) was an early aviator in America. She became the first mixed-race (first African-American and first Native American) to have a pilot's license. Bessie had to train in France because of racism. The US discriminated against her to become a commercial pilot, so she became a stunt pilot. She was then known as Queen Bess.
