My goal was to duplicate or give an alternative to Tropical Punch Kool-Aid for a refreshing spring or summer iced tea treat with healthier ingredients and without having all the added sugar. It took a lot of experimenting but this version is almost identical to the Kool-aid we grew up loving! You can add sweetener if it is too tart. We do like it unsweetened and tart, but we usually add blue agave or Adagio rock sugar/sugar. The best part is even if you add sweetener the ingredients are still way healthier and a way better option than the usual drink mixes. The kids love it and I have to say it's amazingly similar to Tropical Punch. We like this best steeped fresh or cold brewed. Then pour directly over ice to quench your thirst on a hot day! Steep this at @205 for 5 minutes.
