Valentine's Day doesn't have to be a drag if you're single. Curl up with this full-bodied Earl Grey variant and show some love for yourself. Or, if you do have a partner, make enough for two!
I'm newly single for the first time in years this February, and I decided that was no reason to be gloomy or to not enjoy the coming holiday. We all love someone, even if we're not in a romantic relationship at the moment, and we all have someone who loves us. If nothing else, it's important to love yourself. Single or otherwise, show some love for yourself and indulge in this complex brew. Earl Grey fans and rose tea lovers should definitely try this one, but I honestly believe that anyone who enjoys black teas might like this. It is sweet, of course, but it isn't really a sugary sweetness, rather a floral one, and it is balanced by a pleasant bitterness, and a very mild Earl Grey astringency. No sourness is actually detectable, but I suspect the rose hips do their share to tame the sweetness as well with their faint sour essence. It needs no sweetener at all, though it would probably be tasty with a touch of honey, and is very good with or without milk.
