Making tea has never been easier with Teforia! The NFC tags in the packaging of
these teas instruct the machine to prepare each cup with precise time and temperature parameters to bring out the best from each tea.
Our portions are pre-dosed and individually packaged, with nothing to measure or calibrate. Simply scan the NFC tag, place tea inside the infuser, and press the "start" button. The machine will do the rest, producing consistent great tea each and every time.
For the best flavor, we recommend using 2.5g to 5g of tea per infusion.
For most teas, approximately 3g is 1 teaspoon, and lighter varieties are 1.5g per teaspoon.
More than 5g may cause the globe to overflow during infusion. More than 3g of lighter varieties may cause these problems as well.
If you do not want to weigh out your tea, please consider our
Teforia-ready portions.
We recommend using spring water or filtered water for best results. Remember to descale regularly to keep the unit running like new.
Distilled, Reverse Osmosis, and Zerowater must not be used and will cause functionality issues. The Teforia requires water with mineral content.
An accompanying Teforia App will allow you to use the machine to brew any tea, NFC chip or not. You can select from our carefully calculated recipes for Adagio teas to steep the perfect cup. In addition, you'll be able to customize your brewing process with your own recipes.
Any tea can be added to the App. Get it for
Apple and
Android.
Teforia requires specific WiFi settings to connect properly. These include: 2.4GHz only | IEEE 802.11 b/g/n | WiFi Security: WPA, WPA2, WEP | IPv4.
Our recommended WiFi settings for the best experience are: 2.4GHz with WPA2 Personal security, IPv4.
Make Sure WiFi Password is Correct
First, tap on "eye" icon on the right side of the password field to double-check it has been properly entered. If it is, continue with the following steps.
Troubleshooting Step 1
- Close the application
- Switch off the infuser and re-power a few seconds later
- Re-launch the application
- Attempt to connect again
Troubleshooting Step 2
Next, try to setup WiFi by manually entering the WiFi network name and password. Try to connect once more.
Troubleshooting Step 3
Make sure your WiFi settings are as follows:
- 2.4GHz WiFi network
- WPA2 security
- Public WiFi Network (not hidden)
- IPv4 network
- Infuser is within reach of the WiFi network
Once all the above are true, your infuser should connect to WiFi!

1. Using too much tea will cause a few issues.
The globe may leak water out of the top where it connects to the arm, or it may leak when depositing water into the carafe. Both are caused by using too much tea.
For the best flavor, we recommend using 2.5g to 5g of tea per infusion. More than 5g may cause the globe to overflow during infusion. More than 3g of lighter varieties may cause these problems as well.
For most teas, approximately 3g is 1 teaspoon, and lighter varieties are 1.5g per teaspoon are recommended.
If you do not want to weigh out your tea, please consider our
Teforia-ready portions.
2. Leaving the tea in the globe too long.
When the tea leaves (or fruit pieces) are left in the globe too long, it can cause the mesh to clog, leading to leaking and the globe not emptying during infusions. This is due to tannins and sugars clogging the component.
To resolve this, please remember to remove tea leaves as soon as possible after the last infusion. Also, occasionally deep clean the globe. There are two recommended methods for this. 1. Let the globe sit in a citric acid solution overnight, then rinse in the morning and use as usual. And/or 2. Use a toothbrush and baking soda to scrub the mesh, then rinse and use as usual.
Old App
We cannot support the old Teforia app, as it was not included in our acquisition of the company's IP. Unfortunately, technological advances by Apple and Android have also made the old app obsolete.
New App Does not Support Old Units
The new app cannot affect the old infusers because the technology inside the machine has been thoroughly reengineered and is not backward compatible.
Cannot Support Old Units
We apologize for lacking the means to help you utilize the old Teforia.
