Petra was the desert capitol of the Nabataeans, a now 'lost' civilization. From about 200 BCE until 100 CE their capitol was a major trade stop for goods flowing west from India and Mesopotamia and goods from the Mediterranean flowing East. Spices, incense, fruits, gold, amber and cultures were traded here. This tea will take you back to that past time, standing in the trading markets and taking home your own peice of far-off mysterious lands. If you make authenitic chai, this blend is a superb choice! Also great unadulterated!

Most people recognize the Jordanian site of Petra as the last stop of Indiana and his Father in The Last Crusade, where they find the cup of Christ. Although what most people see is the front entrance to the treasury, the capitol city is actually very large with a sunken ampitheatre and other great buildings as well as gorgeous tombs.
