Stone fruits such as peaches and apricots share quite a few aromatic compounds with various spices. For example, they share benzaldehyde with cinnamon, a compound that imparts a bitter almond/burnt sugar scent. They also share alpha-phellandrene with peppercorn, lending a citrusy note to both--hence why they pair well with citrus fruits as well.

“ I admit I am not the biggest chai fan. This blend, however, works for me. The bright, tart sweetness of the peach and citrus make for a really nice contrast to the warm spices. The best part: low caffeine! It's a nice dessert-like tea and I'm really happy I can drink this after dinner in an attempt to curb my sugar cravings. ”

“ I was so excited to try this blend as it has a lot of my favorite flavor profiles in it. It did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious. There is a mild sweetness there from the honeybush and all the fruits. The spices are not overwhelming but comforting. I love the addition of the peppercorn. I think it really makes the blend, like the cherry on top of a sundae. It’s a wonderful option for those times you are in the mood for chai spices but not such a strong in your face tea. I’m so very happy that it’s almost caffeine free so I can drink it whenever I want. Fabulous blend Christine Avincula! @adagioteas ”

“ This is a unique apricot flavored chai tea with peppercorns added into the mix! It has no caffeine so it’s perfect for evening sipping. I added just a little agave nectar to enhance the flavors. It tastes even better as it cools. I love it and am worried that I might not have ordered enough. ”
