“ Lychee Rose Green Tea garners mixed reviews, reflecting a wide range of individual taste preferences. Many reviewers appreciate its unique blend, noting the pleasant, sweet rosy aromas and lychee's distinct, mildly grape-like flavor enhancing the green tea base. Opinions on the lychee and rose components vary, with some finding them delightfully fragrant and floral, contributing to a refreshing and enjoyable sip either hot or iced. However, others critique the blend for its strong floral notes, likening it to perfume, and express a distinct aversion to the green tea's grassiness. Despite its divisive nature, those fond of floral and unique tea blends find it appealing, showcasing the subjectivity of taste in the tea community. ”
“ 12 Aug 2020 review slightly modified to remove irrelevant content: I had bad vibes about this CommuniTEA today when I saw it contained lychee. I’ve actually tried lychee fruit in the past. I mean to tell ya that it looks like a white gelatinous & translucent white golf ball (without the dimples) and has mild flavors “somewhat” like green grapes! To me, it had a really weird mouthfeel and taste! Not very sweet at all.
When it was blended with today’s green tea, my thoughts changed. In the bag, I was presented with pleasant sweet rosy aromas. However, the color of the brew was an off-putting cloudy yellow/green. Lychee and rose flavors were definitely forward from start to finish. The green tea blended in nicely. It provided a pleasant green tea zing on the palate making this blend an intriguing and drinkable sip. If you like lychee, you will like this tea blend. Bottom line: by itself lychee is a acquired taste not quite too my liking, but when blended with tea, it’s not too bad! (4 mins @ 175F, 1/4 tsp sugar) ”

“ A solid no from me. Very strong rose scent and taste. Like drinking fruity/floral perfume. Those who like floral/rose teas will love this one. Not my cup of tea.
4/12/2022 - Still a very solid nope from me. Hope others enjoy their cuppa though!
2/6/2024 - This tea is always problematic for my personal palate. I do not gravitate to green teas. I carefully brewed this one to see if my taste/opinion had changed. The green tea has a grassy scent and taste for me...and that's a taste note I just can't sip happily. I'm one of those who has a distinct aversion to cilantro, and I believe that also translates into a marked dislike of decidedly green/grassy tastes. I have found a few green teas that I love and enjoy - this tea is not one of them. It tastes like broccoli water fresh from a vegetable steamer for me. Can't do it. Most of the time I do not like rose in my tea. I have found a few instances where I really enjoy a rosy tea, but for the most part it's a firm no for my tea cup when it's a very forward part of the flavor. I'm big on needing a lovely aroma from my tea cup. This tea....well, for me, it smells odd. So this blend is still firmly in the 'not my cup of tea' category for me. Tastes/smells like I'm drinking a cup of Great Auntie Ida's perfume. But, I did recently try a blend that had this tea in the mix and it was really good. So keeping this at 3 stars. I can't sip this on its own, but blended with other teas, it was ok. Not every tea is for every cup. And this tea is just not what I enjoy. Glad to see that others enjoy it though! ”
“ Delicious cup. Tasted melon, grape and a little rose flavors. A very pleasant green tea blend. May go on the shopping list. ”
“ UPDATED from 8/13/21: - Love the smell of this CommuniTEA packet - it is a rose garden in the middle of a grassy field. It steeps into a very light golden color. I like the taste of the green tea, and for some reason, this year the rose is not too strong, as it lingers into the finish. Normally I detest drinking flowers, however, in this blend the roses dance lightly on my tongue. This becomes delectably delicious after adding ¼ teaspoon of sweetener. If you like green tea and enjoy the flavor of roses, you will absolutely love this. (2 mins @ 180ºF + sweetener). ”
