A little nutty and a little tart, this unconventional blend is ideal for the Inquisition's resident Wild Card. Coconut mingles with bright cranberry, over a base of ceylon black tea. The richness of sweet cream helps tie together these two unusual flavors. Marigold petals add a touch of yellow color, while hibiscus adds a tangy note and a reddish hue fitting for a Friend of Red Jenny.
“ So this kight be my favourite tea now. It's... funky, in a word. Just like Sera herself (and every time I see the tin I hear that ridiculous laugh she has while she says it, it's great). It's black tea but kind of fruity and almost tart sometimes. It's great with sugar, but not too much, but I feel like honey would be even better in it. (I don't have any at the moment or I'd have tried it.) Basically, it's funky and different and a great tea first thing in the morning, and I really love it. ”
“ When I read about the flavors used to make this tea I was a little wary. I was surprised how much I liked the cranberry flavor and how it meshed with the other ingredients. It's defiantly going on my favorites list. ”
“ I decided to try this one because the flavor combination was fascinating. Sure enough, it's an odd cup, but I really like it. I brewed it for about two and a half minutes, with a small scoop of sugar that I might skip next time, and it came out brilliantly red and very flavorful. It's pretty tart, as you might expect, but the aftertaste is kind of amazing. The black tea is overwhelmed by the additions, especially the cranberry and cherry, but it isn't exactly a super-fruity tea, either. It has lots of astringency and tang, and would likely be amazing iced. I think this would be a really interesting tea to use for baking or other non-drinking purposes as well. Me gusta. Will probably purchase again. ”
“ I'm not sure how I feel about this tea yet! It smells amazing when brewing, in a way I can't describe. Kinda sweet and coconutty I guess. The flavors are a bit odd together, but it does grow on you over time. I really like the coconut and cranberry together. ”
“ Oooo. So much love for Red Jenny! It smells amazing out of the tin but I am afraid I may have over brewed it first time around. The bitterness of the cranberry and the creaminess of the coconut are a little confusing, but then again so is Sera. I'll have to give it another go, maybe she will grow on me! ”
