In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit. And each morning, I can certainly imagine he wandered back into his kitchen for the most important meal of the day, at least until the next meal, and made himself a cup of this fantastic tea. I know I have to stop myself from drinking this all day, every day. Truly a taste of the Shire, full of its own comings and goings and not much concerned with greatness...just deliciousness.

I can’t even take this review seriously right now because I’ve melted into a puddle of goo and happiness drinking this tea.

Seriously. This is one of the best teas I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. It just exudes comfort and warmth, even just the smell is a whole world of comforting. It has a taste that I can only describe as reminiscent of a kitchen pantry and not just any pantry but Bilbo Baggins’ pantry: that quiet little cocooned space that smells like old sharp wood mixing with scents of fresh cheese and bread, spices and dried meats, the sight of colorful cans and jars and the slight warmth of the room, that feeling of standing there in the comfort of home and food and you’re not even really that hungry, you just want to have a little nibble of something and you just look around, breathing deeply, thinking about what you want to eat and knowing you will always have good food, a good home, and a good life and the candle light is a soft glow near your head as you cuddle down in your cozy dressing gown and sip at your cup of tea. That is what this tea tastes like.

I could go on about the richness of flavor, the way the black tea’s sharpness is perfectly sweetened by the apple pieces or about how it was perfect for a late breakfast/early lunch and went well with both my jam and biscuit and my egg on toast. But I don’t think any of that matters as much as the sheer feeling of pure contentment this tea gave me. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. This is hands-down the best tea I have ever had and I plan to buy more as soon as I possibly can.

I love this tea but I haven't managed to get the brewing right. It's fruity and sweet but not overly so. It's super nice to have post breakfast while you read a book. It's got a faint apple spice taste too it but thankfully not too strong.

Second Breakfast is a delightful morning tea, and one of my absolute favorites (this statement really deserves an exclamation point... just pretend that I used one).
The cloves and the spice are balanced by the cream and the apple flavor, creating a fantastically smooth blend that doesn't need cream or sugar.
