Filipinos are not big tea drinkers, but whenever I go visit I am always inundated with the freshest mangos, bananas, coconuts, and big breakfasts and lots of food. My Lolo grows mangos and coconuts among other things on his plantation, as well as raise pigs and chickens. The smokiness in the Mambo tea blend reminds me of waking up to the smell of burning palms, or the fire pit in which we cook whole pig. Though it takes a 2 hour long boat ride, followed with a 3 hours long (very bumpy) drive in a jeepney, it's always nice to visit Lolo's plantation. At least this tea can remind me of my fun times there.
