Celebrating my Lithuanian Heritage with a Tea to sip along with some Sakotis. Which the moniker basically translates to 'tree cake.' In Polish, it is called Sekacz. Also called a 'traditional spit cake'...it is a cake made of butter, egg whites and yolks, flour, sugar, and cream, cooked on a rotating spit in an oven or over an open fire. Its fun to watch being made! It can be decorated with sugary ornaments or chocolate, but due to already very pleasant and mild taste...it goes very well with milk or any type of hot beverage..such as TEA!
