A blend not born of scholarship nor inspired directly by Tolkien's books, but from a desire for a tea to symbolize the Kingsfoil herb of the Peter Jackson movies. White Pear since pears come from a tree (White Tree of Gondor allusion). Citrus Mint Green since green and white teas blend nicely and give an ethereal/"magical" base to this tea. The Citrus Mint offers many herbal ingredients which lean medicinal without tasting bad. Peppermint to complement the Spearmint in Citrus Mint Green plus the cool tingle gives a sense of an actively effective and powerful substance. The plant image is merely an attractive (to me) photo of a green plant with white flowers. For all I know, it's actually poisonous to humans so don't go foraging and steeping it unless you actually know what you're dealing with!!! (That shouldn't have to be said except that a few rare Tolkien fans are obsessive.) I steep at 180/2 since I have no 185 degree setting on my electric kettle.

Low caffeine | Steep at 185° for 2 mins
