“ Cerezas y Fresas Con Chocolate
Recommended Steep 212°Ffor 5 minutes.
I steeped for the recommended amount of time at the recommended temperature, in about 11 oz of water with a scant 1.5 tsp of Adagio rock sugar. Please note, I am reviewing Khrissi’s original version of this blend.
Upon opening the tin a lovely, though rather mild chocolaty-cherry-cranberry (which I later determined was probably actually strawberry) aroma was noted. This faded after a few minute and almost disappeared while steeping. The tea itself is beautiful and steeps to a light, sort of brownish color with perhaps a tinge of pink.
At first I was concerned about trying this blend due to the cherry, which is hit or miss for me, and the blenders review stating that it was a bit cherry heavy and chocolate light. I needn’t have been concerned. It is most definitely a bit cherry heavy, and chocolate light, but I could taste all the flavors and I found that I truly enjoyed this tea. If this is what is like before the blender tweaks it for more chocolate, I can’t wait to taste the revised version. As it is, 4.75 from me. Well done, Khrissi.
