In Point Pleasant, West Virginia, the Mothman was first sighted near the end of 1966 and Mothman fever lasted through the following year. A man sized creature with wings and bright reflective red eyes. The collapse of the Silver bridge in December of 67 gave rise to connections between it and the Mothman sightings. Since then there has been a book, movies, and even a statue erected to Mothman right in Pleasant Point.
