AI Bot Summary
based on most popular reviews
The Passionfruit Tango Iced Tea elicits mixed reactions, chiefly around its cinnamon content; some find it overly dominant, masking the anticipated passionfruit and mango flavors. This intense cinnamon presence leaves several customers wishing for a re-balanced blend, though others revel in the unique spicy, fruity mix, even experimenting with it in alcoholic beverages. Enthusiasts praise its refreshing quality, especially when served cold, noting it as a delightful substitute for pricier alternatives and lauding its ease of preparation. However, a faction is less impressed, criticizing it for tasting either too watered-down or uncomfortably akin to drinking perfume. Overall, its reception oscillates between adoration for its novel taste profile and disappointment from those expecting a more traditional fruit tea experience.

An absolutely overwhelming cinnamon flavor precludes any chance of tasting passionfruit or mango in this tea. It looks beautiful when brewed, but in scent and flavor it may as well be called cinnamon tea (as that's the only thing you will taste).

I think this has a quenching flavor, but I was a little off-put by the amount of cinnamon flavor in the tea. I might just be sensitive to it, but it overpowered all the other flavors for me.

This is a great sipping tea. I brew it in the frig over night and it is wonderfully cooling first thing in the morning. I have even thought about using it to make a liquor, using vodka as the base. I would brew it longer for a stronger passion-fruit flavor. I've done it with other teas and it worked well. I'll try it and post again.

Update: I took this tea on a beach vacation. It was wonderful. I brewed about 12 hrs in the frig and added a bit of turbinado sugar while steeping. Great! It was so good my friend asked me for the last two pouches. I was loath to give them up, but I think you'll have a new costumer!

After Teavana closed I never thought I'd find another tea that could compare to theirs. Passionfruit Tango is delicious and it's way cheaper! I'm so glad I found Adagio Teas.

Ingredients & Lore

blended with hibiscus, cinnamon, apple pieces, lemon grass, rose hips, raspberry leaves, natural passionfruit flavor, mango pieces, rose petals & peach pieces

Passion fruits are soft, fleshy fruits that come from the passion flower. Available in both purple and yellow varieties, they are round in shape with a soft, leathery skin. Inside the fruit, seeds float in juicy pockets which can be enjoyed raw, juiced, or within desserts like ice creams, cheesecakes, mochi, and more. The name passion fruit comes from the Passion of the Christ, as missionaries would often use the flowers' unique features to explain their faith. We've taken things in a slightly different direction, leaning into the passion of the tango instead.

I have a 0.8 ounce sample bag of this tea. How much water should I use to cold brew this for iced tea? Is there a difference if I brew it as sun tea? Thank you!
