“ Ramonas Liver Disaster Tea! has garnered positive responses for its refreshing and pleasant taste, debunking any initial fears its name might provoke. Reviewers highlighted its citrusy aroma, moderate citrus fruit flavors, and a nice blend of tartness from rosehip and hibiscus when hot. The addition of a bit of sugar was recommended to balance tartness. As it cools, flavors of pomegranate, raspberry, and orange emerge, further enhancing the tea's appeal. Its low astringency, buttery smooth green tea base, and vibrant cranberry pink hue make it versatile for both hot and iced preparations. The blend's fruity, tangy profile, coupled with visual aesthetics and a hint of humor in its name, marks it as a delightful choice for tea enthusiasts, offering a pleasant taste experience without the liver taste its name might imply. ”
“ There is a citrus-y fruit salad aroma emitting from the CommuniTEA packet. This steeps into a lovely, light cranberry pink color. The taste is fruity and light - an unusual green tea, with zero astringency. It has a nice tangy tartness. Adding 1⁄4 teaspoon of sweetener brings out the fruity flavor even more. This gets tastier as it cools, so is perfect for an ice tea, especially as it is low in caffeine. (3 mins @200ºF + sweetener). ”
“ Nothing was missing from my communiTEA packet. I was kinda ‘fraid when I saw liver in the name! Citrus fruit aromas were noted.
I had 3.12 grams of ingredients, enough for a medium strength 12.5 ounce steep. I steeped at 175°F for 3.5 minutes to make up for the lower temperature.
When hot, moderate citrus fruit flavors were noted. Rosehip and hibiscus flavors were slightly tart. I added a bit of sugar to tame the tartness.
When warm, moderate pomegranate flavors surfaced, yum! Orange, raspberry and lemon flavors were mild. A mild acceptable astringent mouthfeel was noted. A really nice and mild buttery smoothness was noted from the green tea.
This blend was actually very refreshing and pleasant tasting. It sure as heck did not taste like liver, thank goodness! (3.5 mins @ 175ºF, ⅛ tsp sugar) ”
“ Refreshing, citrus, slightly tart, mild green blend that makes the perfect iced tea. Tastes way better than chopped liver. Sip, sip away! ”
“ A delightfully tasty and tart citrus berry blend, enjoyable hot or cold. The green tea base is friendly with no grassiness and carries all the ‘good for you ingredients’ well. One of the first flavors to come forward was a citrus mix of lemon and a hint of orange that peeks out more when the tea cools. Hibiscus and rose hips add a pleasant tartness to the lemonade like flavor while raspberry, pomegranate and apple team up and offer a satisfying and full berry taste.
My CT packet had a mixed fruity scent with 3 g/ 2 ½ tsp of all ingredients with plenty of green tea leaves, some freeze dried raspberry pieces, little apple chunks, yellow marigold flowers and some orange peel. Brewed 12 oz. at 180*F for 3 minutes. No bitterness was detected from the green tea base. The pink colored liquor had a tart taste to start. A sweetener add of agave softened and sweetened the tart taste wonderfully and enhanced the berry flavor. A resteep was milder and when chilled, this tea was a delight to sip. The tartness mellowed with the cold beautifully and the berry flavor came forward more with a little zing of lemon in the aftertaste. This was a very enjoyable and good tasting medicine. Nice job, blender, Rebekah! ”
“ Very enjoyable tart - fruity mild green -herbal tea blend. This tea is great with sweetener hot or iced ”
