A surprisingly complex and versatile blend. With milk and sweetener, it's a perfect dessert tea. Yet taken plain, or with milk and no sweetener, the caramel flavor is molasses-like and 'cooked', almost 'burnt' (in a very good way!) But not sugary per se, nor is it nearly as sweet as one would expect. The roasty depth of the chocolate and a subtly sweet, rich touch of cream round it out nicely. Much more than the sum of its simple parts - black tea, chocolate, caramel, and cream add up to something extraordinary.

Not much of a story to tell here - I just thought that chocolate, caramel, and cream flavors made sense together and would create a delicious dessert tea. Of course, in practice, it turns out that the result is more complex and less sweet than I expected (and so much the better for that!) With milk and honey, it's the dessert tea I imagined, but richer and more sophisticated. And it's surprisingly good plain. It's not that it's sweet enough to not need added sweetener - rather, it's a more versatile flavor that's enjoyable whether it's sweet or not. Of all my blends, even though I've enjoyed all the ones I've gotten to try (money is limited, alas, so I haven't gotten to taste all of my own blends as of typing this) I honestly think that Chocomel Creme is, objectively, one of my best creations. The flavor profile is simple and focused, yet provides much more depth and variety of taste than I expected. It's so, SO much more than what you'd get if you merely brewed a cup of black Ceylon tea and then melted some typical chocolate and caramel candy into it. I really can't emphasize how interesting this flavor combination is. It's not what I expected at all from caramel tea - it's better. (This mirrors my experience with chocolate tea, come to think of it, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.)
