One of the five main types of tea (white, green, oolong and black being the others), pu'erh tea stands apart with its uncommonly soft earthy flavor and woodsy tones. Unlike all other teas, pu'erh (pronounced 'poo-err') is actually aged. The tea leaves go through a natural fermentation process before the tea is gently dried. This creates a cup with zero astringency and a deep, rich body. Pu'erh is extraordinarily smooth and deeply refreshing. Our Pu'erh Dante (the shou variety of pu'erh) gives a clean, damp forest aroma, dried mushrooms, leather, and earth. Some sweetness of figs or dates and a slightly creamy flavor. Mellow and grounding.

“ It has a very rich earthy and smokey flavor. For those who don't like smokey, it's not too overwhelming, but very much there. The flavor does change and pair nicely with food though. ”

“ I love this! The tea is really flavorful and the pouch is just so convenient. It's great on mornings where I am not the least bit awake and do not have the energy to clean my strainer out and wait for the tea to steep. I'm a teacher and I always have a cup of tea in the morning, but sometimes I feel really rushed to steep it. Presto will be great for when I return to the classroom. ”
