PACKAGING GUIDE
Bold, powerful black tea from the Assam region of India. A deep, burgundy-red cup and roasted grain aroma, malty-rich flavor with notes of raisins. Pungent but smooth astringency, making this tea an ideal cup to pair with milk and sugar. This outstanding Assam comes from a favorite garden of ours, Mangalam Estate.

Teabags

teabags
Our teabags contain the same high-quality tea as our loose-tea offerings. Their pyramid shape gives the leaves plenty of room to unfurl and infuse, placing more flavor in each cup. Enjoy the superior flavor of gourmet tea with the convenience of a disposable bag.

Lore

Tucked in between Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, Assam is a T-shaped (no pun intended) state in northeastern India. A haven for endangered species, including the one-horned Indian rhino, Asian elephants, pygmy hogs, tigers, and more, it is also the tea-lover's dream. Combining high precipitation during its monsoon season and high daytime temperatures, it features a greenhouse-like environment that is perfect for cultivating tea - more than half of the tea produced in India, in fact. It also boasts its own variety of the tea plant (Camellia sinensis var. assamica), one of only two regions in the world to do so.
