As Ron explains in 'Park Safety' (Season 2, Episode 19), 'A schlemiel is the guy who spills soup at a fancy party. A schlimazel is the guy he spills it on. Jerry is both the schlemiel and the schlimazel of our office.' Garry Gergich -- a.k.a. Jerry, a.k.a. Larry, a.k.a. Terry -- is often upon the receiving end of far too many jokes at the department of Parks and Recreation, although he *has* been occasionally buffered or defended by his (ridiculously) beautiful family, Leslie Knope, Ben Wyatt, and/or mayoral elections, to name a few. This blend of sweet white pear, sentimental vanilla green, a dash of calm chamomile, and a sprinkle of lemon balm may inspire some many-named defenses of your own.

Parks and Recreation features a cast of heartwarmingly silly characters, all involved in the parks department of a fictional smallish town called Pawnee, Indiana. Headlined by Leslie Knope, everyone's favorite politically-creative heroine, after a slow start the show gradually became a fan favorite, with many a cult reference to be found amongst its largely-satirical episodes. Said references -- or 'phraseology' -- are the inspiration behind this particular fandom. My friends, family, and I have thoroughly enjoyed binge-watching this show for several years; no matter what changes, wrap-ups, or 8-bit style graphics may come, no one can take away our phraseology-love. Knope out!
