“ I'm not a personal fan of aniseed, as I'm super-sensitive to licorice flavors. The aniseed in this one is pretty mild, but I do still notice it. However, I find I still rather enjoy this blend for the bright citrus notes. The mate really does have an energizing effect, and I can picture Chade drinking this by the fire in his hidden chambers. ”

“ This tea, like all in this fandom, is so well thought out. While the flavor isn't one of my most favorites- the level of caffeine is and that is so Chade. I can just imagine my favorite spider drinking this to stay awake on an epic journey. ”

“ I was looking forward to trying the 'gunpowder' tea and thought it was very fitting for Chade! Like others, I was expecting more of an explosive flavour. The recommended 3 minute steep time is not nearly enough to taste half of the flavours in this tea. Once I steeped it longer, I really tasted the anise seed. The ginger and citrus notes were still subtle. It is an energizing tea - which I can imagine the old spider drinking up in his secret chambers while plotting his next assignment. ”
