“ All players were accounted for in my communiTEA packet. Mild chai spice aromas were noted.

I had 3.14 grams of ingredients, enough for a medium strength 12.5 ounce steep. I steeped at 190°F (no 195 button) for three minutes since I lowered the temperature.

When hot, mild spicy zings were noted from the ginger, cinnamon and red peppercorns. Pineapple and spice flavors were mild. I added ¼ teaspoon of sugar to sweeten things up a little and bring out flavors.

When warm, Pineapple flavors were mild and threw in an interesting tropical note to the deal. Rose hip tastes were slightly sour, but acceptable. A mild hibiscus tartness was noted. Chai spice flavors were moderate. Mild nutty coconut flavors provided for a smooth mouthfeel. Moderate red peppercorn flavors were noted throughout.

Pepper flavors overpowered others towards finish. (3 mins @ 190ºF, ¼ tsp sugar) ”

“ I’m generally a big fan of chai’s, enjoying the spices they bring to the table. That gave this blend a leg up from the start, and the blood orange just gives this blend a nice twist for me. I’m always a bit afraid of tea with rose, worried the floral flavors will overpower other flavors, but had no reason to fear with this blend. Nicely done! ”
