Because of its tropical location and easy access to tropical island neighbors, Taiwan's street markets offer fruit year-round, but especially in the summer. Pineapple and watermelon are favorites, often pureed into juice. People drink coconut water fresh from the coconut to combat the humid heat. When mangoes are in season, they are fat and juicy, and can be found in nearly everything.
In Taiwan, fruit is cheap and easy to come by, so there's no reason to ever stop eating it.
