based on most popular reviews
This Thai tea blend garners mixed but generally positive reviews for its exotic blend of coconut, vanilla, cardamom, and smooth black tea flavors, offering a unique, creamy sip with delightful spice notes. Reviewers praise its ability to pair well with both hot and iced preparations, appreciating the moderate, non-astringent taste that hints at caramel and dark cocoa when hot, transforming into a more pronounced coconut and creamy vanilla medley when iced. Despite its difference from traditional Thai tea's bright hue, its aromatic profile captures the essence of Thailand's culinary landscape. A few dissenters find the blend's aftertaste or deviation from their expectations less appealing, but the majority relish in the tea's complex, tropical flavors, often enhancing their experience with additions like milk and sweetener to achieve a soothing, vacation-like escape in a cup.

Excellent tea! I brewed 5 min at 195 F and added ~1/2 tsp whipping cream and 1 tsp honey. I usually don't like coconut but this was very good.

I never would have picked this tea out on my own, but the communiTEA sample was delightful. It was tasty alone but even better with a little sugar and half and half. The flavors are well balanced and compliment each other perfectly.

Delicious black tea-- I brewed it normally and drank it hot, which is not how I've had any actual Thai tea before. I'm curious to see how it would be iced with some condensed milk, but as it is I enjoy it as a hot tea.

aug 24: still fabulous. had it on the first cool-weather day in along time and it was perfect.

this is fantastic - best use of coconut in a tea I've tried so far. the vanilla is forward without overpowering and the cardamom 'makes' it. I guess I'm into honeybush as a blend with black tea; keeps bitterness at bay. this tea could have been bad and it's great.

Ingredients & Lore

blended with black tea, honeybush tea, apple pieces, cardamom, coconut, natural vanilla flavor, safflower & natural coconut flavor

Since the 1980s, the hip, sophisticated cuisine of Thailand found a place in the U.S. introducing us to pad thai, larb, and other flavorful dishes that are fresh and spicy and delicious. The perfect beverage to go with this food is Thai Tea made with black tea, milk and sugar. What's not to like, right? Traditionally served iced, it's best with the richness of coconut milk or sweet condensed milk. Our version of Thai Tea that combines classic black tea with the unique sweetness of Honeybush, plus natural coconut flavor, cardamom and vanilla. P.S. It's great served hot!
