A wee leprechaun snuck his way into our warehouse and blended some of his Irish luck together with our tea. Celebrate this St. Patrick's day with a different kind of brew, our Limited Edition Irish Stout tea, blended with Assam and Ceylon teas, cocoa nibs, chocolate and creme flavors and topped off with shamrock shaped sprinkles. Add a splash of milk or cream and you soon be singing "Erin Go Bragh"! Look for the teapot at the end of this particular rainbow!

Good morning, everyone! Stephen came over yesterday to meet Titus and help get him situated in our apartment better. For some reason I got insanely dizzy and fell down so Titus climbed on top of me like "don't move" and then went and got me help. Mom came and got me some water and got me into bed. Feeling much better now. 😊 Crossing all my fingers and toes that we can get Titus on the lease!

Good morning all. I just enjoyed a lovely light blend developed by Isabella called Tea-rific Friday, just because I felt like having a moderately caffeinated, lemony tea blend first, and since I have the day off, it doesn't matter that it's Monday. Now I have to decide whether to drink Brigadoon or Irish Stout first. Decisions, decisions... I will also be reviewing some new-to-me teas today, as well as taking some professional education classes and working on reducing stuff in the house. Oh, and I have a slow leak in a tire that I will have looked at later in the day. I wish you all a pleasant day, whatever you are up to.

G'morning! I posted a pic of something my mom gave me. It sits on top of a mug and that is about all I know. She said it was supposed to be for tea but I can't figure out what it's for. Anyone know?? There is a slit in the heart at the top that I assume is to hold the strings from a tea bag but I don't know why it would be on the top??

Keeps the tea hot? Holds the teabag string. I’ve seen them, but I don’t use them.

I'm assuming it just keeps the heat from escaping out of the top of the mug, therefore cooling at a slower rate. I don't think it would keep it hot for very long. But give it a try and let us know what you think!

I agree with others that it is to keep it warm, but likely only for a little while. The slit also probably keeps the string of a teabag from falling into the water. No burning your fingers fishing it out, if you use teabags.

I use them to keep my cats, and their hair, out of my tea. Plus as a bonus it keeps my tea warm longer.

Mine have shiny gemstones on top. Silicone cup lids. They do help keep the heat in, for a bit, and they keep out stray cat hairs or pet noses :) The top is generally decorative and for lifting the top up and down. So just had a cup of coffee, seriously thinking it will be my last, atleast with caffeine, I am no longer a fan of the way coffee makes me feel, I get very light headed, that doesn't happen with tea, I do love the taste of coffee, so thinking it's decaf for me from now on.

I never have been a coffee drinker. I don't like the jittery feeling I get from high levels of caffeine. Even with tea I can only do one cup of high caffeine tea then I switch to lower levels.

I drank coffee at university. There was a kiosk in the student center that sold a tasty caramel latte with whipped cream on top. A couple of friends and I got the reusable mugs and would get one of the lattes several times a week. Then one day one friend said that she wasn’t getting the latte anymore because it was Lent and as an observant Russian Orthodox, she couldn’t have dairy during Lent. She then mentioned several days later that she had a headache every day. She took a few sips of her husband’s plain black coffee and the headache was gone. She said caffeine withdrawal. She didn’t like plain black coffee. I gave up on coffee after I noticed that I was having trouble getting to sleep if I had any past midday. I haven’t had any since I was pregnant 27 years ago. The doctor said only one small cup per day and when breast feeding, the caffeine stimulates the baby more so than an adult. No one wants an overstimulated baby that just cries and won’t sleep. I had an espresso when I went to Italy and I didn’t sleep until it went through my system in the middle of the flight home. My son said one morning in Italy that even a cappuccino with three shots of espresso didn’t wake him up enough. The morning he went to work to find out the coffeemaker was broken, he went over to the desk of his tea drinking coworker and said give me something with high caffeine. The coworker pulled out a tin of mate blend and handed it over along with a tea ball. My son still prefers coffee, but will drink tea when it is offered.

I just got home from getting a vein treated in my leg, I took Irish Stout with me which was a wonderful treat to have along. My 3 year old started at a new preschool, so I was a little nervous for both of those things this morning. But he was so chill and was excited to make some new friends. I'm going to brew up something calming to get me through the rest of the morning with work, maybe Daydream.... It's snowing here again today, pretty normal for Utah weather. I noticed that some people separated the sprinkles out of the Irish Stout. I know that they don’t really melt, but I left them in. Do they change the taste of the tea or do those who take out the sprinkles just not like them?

I don’t think they change the taste Rita. Some say they make the tea cloudy looking and some don’t want them due to dietary restrictions. I usually leave them in because they look festive, but sometimes I eat a few of them like candy.

I pick them out because of the ingredients. I take them out because I react terribly to artificial color. If they used a natural food dye or something I would be pretty happy with it. I wish you could order a packet without the sprinkles or at least an option for them to be on the side.

I'd recommend it! I liked it on a first try, but the more of it I drink the more I love it. The past few years I've picked up a few bags every time it's available.

I see what the hype is all about with this tea. Its truly delicious. Too bad they gotta throw sprinkles in it. I was able to easily remove them from my little packet but I am not gonna buy a product and have to do that. Wish they were on the side or not included at all. My issue with the sprinkles is the artificial color.

Oooohhhh, I loved my cup of Irish Stout today! So flavorful with chocolate and malty flavors! For my second cup I had Brigadoon because I’m still working on finishing the bag a friend traded to me for another tea. So delicious! I’m looking forward to my tin and pouches of fresh Brigadoon because mine might have lost some flavor. The ziplock in the pouch wouldn’t stay closed.

Finally getting in here to say Happy Monday! Had an in-person work day in Denver with my coworkers today. Enjoyed it, but I'm worn out! My tea order is about halfway here...it's in Illinois. Still shows delivering Wednesday -- can't wait because I have two awesome blends showing up that I really look forward to trying! :) Plus my new Brigadoon stash, of course :) I hope everyone had a great Monday today!

This is probably my favorite holiday tea blend from Adagio. :) I always make sure to get at least one bag of this each year. I usually drink it straight, but since it's flavored, sometimes I'll sweeten it which tends to improve the flavor for me.

Theoretically Brigadoon -- I generally don't like tea with sprinkles and such -- but my packet today didn't have any. I have 3 oz of each on the way and will be better able to compare them after they arrive. I should be so lucky that they left the sprinkles out of it. :-)

Interesting question! I’ve only had Brigadoon once on the 29th but now that my shipment is received I plan to enjoy regularly. Irish Stout is more of a vibe where I want an interesting treat tea. I think that’s my dilemma: breakfast teas are everyday while chocolate stout isn’t. I won’t drink down the latter quickly but that doesn’t mean I like it any less.

Finally popping in today. It has been a busy day and tomorrow also looks busy. Too busy for tea today :( So I'll have to get my Irish Stout tomorrow. (or possibly Weds if it keeps being too busy for tea. But we are closing on the loan for the home improvements that we need, so that is worth it.
