Well, this'll probably be a weird-feeling week, for me. My work decided to not keep me and a few other developers around, randomly and out of nowhere (they've been slowly and continuously hiring people in all departments for at least a year and are still doing that). I've been working as a software developer since the summer I turned 16, and at this company specifically for almost 9 years. They're giving me a pretty nice severance paycheck, so I don't need to be worried about that part for a while, and I'm kind of looking forward to some time off to recharge and catch up on sleep and my own stuff... but it's still kind of weird. -still processing- 😶

That's so too bad, Kathryn and Kami! Hope you get some good rest. Those things are hard but wishing you much luck in your next new job. Hugs to you! Sip some comforting tea and think about the next new things.

I'm sorry to hear this for you - even with a severance, it's a difficult thing to experience. I hope you find some peace and clarity in this period and that it sets you up to find the right path going forward.

So sorry to hear this Kathryn and Kami. It can be very painful to lose a job suddenly. It sounds like you are approaching the challenge very well. Recharging is so important so it’s good that you have the resources to do that.

It does seem odd that the company would do that unexpectedly when they've been hiring regularly. It makes one wonder if they are looking to get downsize their more experienced staff to reduce payroll...Anyway, I hope in the downtime you are able to reset and find a new path that suits you. Good luck job-hunting when you're ready!

Was so chilly here today. Not many more days like this I think. Winter may slowly be winding down.

A, it was chilly here, too with a high of about 55°, about 20° cooler than most of last week. Although blustery, I thoroughly enjoyed it, especially late in the day when I stepped outside to a little hail storm followed by the beginning of rain. The rain lasted a few hours, but now the clear sky is back and the stars are shining. I'm going to savor the cool weather while lasts.🩵💙🩵 I hope you have a great week!

Good morning, everyone! Titus had a wonderful gotcha day. I bought him a couple new toys as well as a couple kitty cupcakes. So when I got the little bag, I set it on the floor, like we do with all bags because they must pass kitty inspection 😝, and told Titus I had a surprise for him. He poked his head into the bag, pulled out his new banana toy all by himself, and started beating it up and chomping on it. 🤣 It's his new favorite toy, and it's already half-obliterated. 😂 He has been the happiest little boy since then. I am so glad we made his day. ❤️

Has it been a year already since you got Titus, Cassidy? Amazing. I remember what a feisty little guy he was when you got him.

Let's Muse about what animals would do if they had opposable thumbs! My dogs and cats would definitely let themselves in and out of the house at their own leisure, and squirrels would probably open my door to ask where their sunflower seeds were, and my big dog, rocky, would most definitely help himself to food in the refrigerator all day long

100% - my cats would open their own cans of food wherever they wanted a snack!

I wonder if a dog might try throwing his own ball or frisbee to play fetch...

Good morning! I'm indecisive this morning, apparently. I made a cup of coffee and then changed my mind...So I poured the coffee into a travel mug to take with me to work, and then quickly brewed and gulped down my own version of an English Breakfast blend. Yesterday, I finally caved and ordered a ToasTEA. I'm optimistic that it will arrive on Wednesday. I can't wait to be able to take tea with me to my substitute jobs.

The.month of March started out strong with the first two teas. This would be great for chai lovers. I’m enjoying it but not enough to buy it. Chai has never been at the top of my favorites.
