Genmai Cha is a classic Japanese green tea, blended with toasted, popped rice. Originally created to stretch short supplies of tea, now enjoyed by tea lovers here and abroad. Warm and nutty taste, with a lovely savory quality. A hearty cup of tea that is easy to combine with food. Genmai Cha is a great solution for those seeking a substantial, but less astringent flavor from their cup.

Switchfoot night. Kee enjoyed her first show of theirs. Missed a couple favs but a really good set.
12:13 am
I recently got a card that's just a white square and only says "Turmeric-Orange Honey Cake". Has anyone else encountered something like this before and know what's up with it?
12:15 am
It's a Selefina recipe card. There must be something wrong with the image. Go to the Selefina page and click on recipe samplers to see what spices it includes.
12:25 am
Cool. Thanks!
12:26 am
I had a recipe card forever and it always said, 'AVAILABLE SOON.' Recently, if just turned into a white square..so I traded in, as I figured they aren't going to add that recipe. It wasn't the one you got. I hoped that the card wouldn't recycle into another person's card bin.

Everything I have is up for a trade that doesn't have a padlock, Really need a Coconut Pouchong, not interested in any hibiscus or Rooibos. Make offers if anything interests you
12:52 am
I think the couple you have that match mine are locked golden flower and Formosa. If you want to trade either of those for the coconut though I do have one.
01:24 am
Hi John, trade offer sent, except, reject, or counter, etc. 😁
02:37 am
I sent you an offer! Feel free to decline or counter it.
Another late night. I've sorted through most of the clothes, I only have a rolling rack and a storage ottoman to go through, then label the totes and stack them out of the way. I feel like there are more clothes somewhere. In the mean time, I'm sipping a late night cup of White Chocolate Peppermint (and nibbling a cake donut) as a treat for a job well done.

One of these days I'm going to try today's tea, it just sounds so good! 🐉

05:39 am
Happy Scrabble day! Let’s play an adapted game of this tea and pick a letter off of the previous word to make a new one! (No worries of overlapping or connecting!). Starting with the word Adagio, I play the word ‘daydream’ for daydream tea, of course, off of the d. What word will you play off of one of those letters? (Tea themed!)
06:12 am
I’ll play Dragonwell in honor of today’s tea
06:44 am
I’ll play Ali Shan, one of my favs. 😋
07:01 am
I love Scrabble. Hubby and I play a game of Scrabble almost every night. April in Paris, off the A. Yum!
08:35 am
I will say Irish Stout (my current cup) for the I.
10:30 am
I'll play GoldenSpring ~ for G .... (played from beginning or end of the word!!)
11:06 am
Elderberry Wine for the E! 😁
02:31 pm
Off of the R, Raspberry! (Though the decaf raspberry is a fave, and in my cup tonight though I definitely oversteeped it!)

It goes through facebook somehow but it doesn’t open my app. You’re allowed to vote once a day but they keep track of the time, so I can’t vote again until this evening because I voted late yesterday.

Yes, what Janet said.
11:35 am
Good morning everyone. I started today with a cup of Irish Stout and now I’m steeping a cup of EBeth’s Tulsa Earl. https://www.adagio.com/217278 I packed some good teas for the trip, but will be happy to fly home tomorrow to the full tea stash. I also miss our little Star, and will be so glad to bring him home on Tuesday.
09:52 am
What are some teas..that you're looking forward to, in CT..this month and next? I'm reminded to liking to steep Cucumbers with White Symphony for a reFRESHing iced pitcher!. I had forgotten about this, last Spring and Summer! Earthkeeper is a great treat. Though, I do have two tins of it. I plan to gift one as I find I don't reach for it. Looking forward to Wen Shan Masters in May and of course Cinco De Mayo!! I will def be getting a 3oz or a large tin of it. ((Also, I plan to get a 3oz bag of my "Mum Bee's Snazzy Chocolate tea," as that's my spicy hot chocolate tea blend that my Mum & I love!!)) .... Dreamberry is nice but I just didn't reach for it..so I parcel'd my 3oz bag of it out as gifts. I'll def enjoy the CT packet iced. Also...I made it a point to add Honeybush Wildberry to my stash (I kept forgetting that it existed!!) to enjoy as an iced tea. I want to try to add a dash of fruit powder to it, as it's icing. I wanna try both Cranberry and also try Mango, to see how I like that addition..
10:01 am
You have such great ideas Twyla. Cucumbers in White Symphony: I will definitely try that. I have forgotten about Honeybush Wildberry as well. I’m glad I still have a good stash of Lemon Meringue Green, which I like better than earthkeeper. I have a friend who absolutely loved it though, so maybe I can get some for her. I don’t plan to get any more Dreamberry, even though I bought a big bag of it. I’m going to try the Teaster with lemonade as someone suggested a few days ago.
10:31 am
Yes, Lemon Meringue Green is a nice treat. I like it moreso than EarthKeeper, too. While, EarthKeeper is different..its kinda heavy on the honey-esque note. You have to be in the mood for it. I know a friend will really really like it..so I shall gift my extra tin to him. ((Just periodically doing stash inventory and deciding what tins need sipped down & what can be gifted....))
10:51 am
KM
Lemon meringue green is wonderful. It’s actually how I found Adagio- after my neighbor passed unexpectedly I was given her tea. I fell in love with Lemon Meringue Green.
11:39 am
Twyla, I add a tad of Dreamberry to 40 Winks and/or Slumbering Sloth.
11:28 am
Wow...Very nice blend idea!!!!

Good morning, all! I’ve been sick lately and haven’t even managed a picture upload yet. Guess I better make some tea and get to it. EDIT: I just realized the irony of today’s tea being dragon well!

Good morning - another day of heavy taxes. I finished 4 returns yesterday with as many to go today. 👩💻✏️🧾✍🏻
Twyla, thank you again for the shout out! is it on your WL? if so, once they have tins again, i'll send you a sample (you may need to remind me...if we have to wait until late summer/autumn)
11:32 am
INDEED!! I have it on there! ♥️🫐
11:35 am
Have a peaceful day 😇
11:15 am
Good morning! What a beautiful day 🌞
11:19 am
Truly such a sunny beautiful day! Needed this after the rain
11:30 am
Hello, again, lovely Adagians. Quick question for you all. If you want to gift a person a tea for your birthday, and it's a fandom blend, how are you doing it, since there are no sample sizes available? God bless and thank you in advance. 😇🫖😇
11:32 am
For this short time..it seems like its allowing us to click to gift tins, still. Not sure how long this will last...But after that runs out..I think we are outta luck on that for the time-being, until the restock can arrive.
11:37 am
If they are listed on "Send to a Friend" at checkout..You could gift a friend a 3oz bag, if ya wanted to gift a larger size.
11:45 am
Awesome! I was wondering about that, Twyla, since they are still offered on the wish lists. I had thought about the 3oz as a possibility as well...hmmm...God bless and thank you very much! 😇🫖😇
11:58 am
Tea friends, I have a question for all of you. My cousin, who is facing cancer surgery in May, asked me if I have come across a blend of green tea, lavender and cardamom, which are her favorite flavors. I blended a decaf green I have with lavender flowers and added green cardamom pods to it, and it was quite lovely. I am wondering if any of you have ever seen a blend including only those three ingredients. I found one by searching online, but it also included ginger. Thank you for any input you may be able to provide.
11:47 am
You can make your own, you know!
11:49 am
Well, actually, I can't. Since I have never blended before, I can only do the green tea and lavender. Plus I am clueless about artwork.
Twyla, I don't think I could include all three...green tea, lavender and cardamom, since I have not blended before and can only add one inclusion. Plus the artwork is a mystery to me.
12:31 pm
or, if you'd prefer, I'd be happy to blend one up for you. I'll even include your cousin's name on the tin and put it in my friends blends fandom - but only if you don't want to make it yourself. here's another one for ya, if you don't like the art, or the combo, i'm happy to adjust it for ya https://www.adagio.com/237397
12:00 pm
Thank you, Khrissi. I am going to talk to my cousin about the green tea types to see what she prefers. I am not sure what kind of green tea she usually sips. If I don't get it for her, it sounds like something I would like to get for me. Her name is Linda.
12:36 pm
Here you go Mary! https://www.adagio.com/237395 I’ve been meaning to make a blend with this painting of mine on it… if you don’t think your friend will like the art, no pressure to buy :)
12:03 pm
love the artwork, Jentina
12:37 pm
Jentina, thank you so much. I am going to check with her to see what kind of green tea she likes. It sounds like a lovely blend and the artwork is perfect. I have put it on my list to try.
12:41 pm
Oooooh that's right, Mary... re: Inclusion amount. I forgot about that initial limitation.
12:37 pm
I'll adjust the artwork to include her name....would you like a different image? is she an owl fan too?
12:44 pm
Khrissi, the artwork is perfect!
12:45 pm
Good afternoon all! My cat was able to sleep through most of the night. We are trying to manage her symptoms while minimizing her discomfort, but she seems to be getting better. It's going to be a busy Sunday in our house today! Hope everyone enjoys the day!

Doing a fun SIDE BY SIDE with the ToTD ..and its higher grade Zhejiang green. I must say the Zhejiang is my FAV green by far. Side by Side, you can tell the grade difference, imho. The Zhejiang Green has more what I would call 'HIGH VIBE' aspects. (Which that is hard to quantify.) The notes are a Lighter Floral, more uplifting in the higher grade version. The taste is less of a punch-y green. However, the Dragonwell itself...is an amazing green. I love the flattened leaves of both of these greens. Ya can't beat a nice 💚🍵 to balance vibes, activate the Heart Chakra and reset the palate.
01:26 pm
Drinking my tea on the way to see an opera.
01:51 pm
I think I'm going to break open my bag of Lemon Meringue Green today. I woke up with a sore throat, I think I might be disturbing too much dust with my packing. It's still a little chilled outside, but I'm thinking it's gonna be an open all the windows kinda day.
02:25 pm
sounds yummy
02:47 pm
I hope your throat feels better soon. I love Lemon Meringue Green, especially cold brewed and on ice. I drink gallons of that in the summer.

How do you arrange your cards so 4 portions make a sample?
05:04 pm
AD
Move them in a stack on top of each other. After a stack of 3, the cards will start to dance. After a stack of 4, a popup will appear asking if you want to make a sample. I’m pretty sure you can only do this on desktop, not mobile. And I’ve heard some people say it doesn’t work with certain teas. Possibly zodiac won’t combine?
05:10 pm
Correct!! You can only stack on desktop & Zodiacs can't combine.
05:12 pm
KM
Thank you. (I’ve been trying on my phone, time to get out laptop)
05:14 pm
Wooow ~ Made a very very good Iced Tea Blend, which I am swooning for!! Black Ceylon tea, Blood Orange & Black Grapefruit tea ...with 4 Turmeric Bliss teabags, in a big ol' pitcher.... (as I just wanted to use the Turmeric Bags up as I just don't reach for them. I kinda just Turmeric Bliss'd myself out, from loving it so much, when I first joined CT.) Well, this blend is--knocking my socks off!!!
05:21 pm
KM
Yeah! I got my portions to combine to a sample. Is there a way to straighten my cards out when trying to organize them? They look like someone just threw them on the floor.
05:53 pm
You can drag them to organize, but not on mobile.
06:05 pm
KM
They are crooked on the laptop, they twirled all around when I moved them. Is there a way to make them straight?
06:17 pm
Someone once said something about hitting F1 and another key perhaps...maybe, to organize them, on laptop. But, I am not sure. Maybe someone else will chime in, to this exactly. I just manually try to straighten them, whenever I am on the compi.
06:17 pm
The F key on my keyboard works for me to organize everyone's tea but my own. I have to drag the cards around to organize my own.
07:33 pm
Thanks, Mary! That's it! I couldn't think of it!
08:02 pm
Today’s tea was light, but tasty and refreshing - enjoyed it very much! Currently making some spicy chicken tenders, crispy potatoes and broccoli for dinner - probably also with one of the Japanese milk rolls I made yesterday, yum!
06:20 pm
I'm not too big on green teas and this one is rather light, but it's nice enough. My wife might like it more than me though.
06:43 pm
Checking out the moon tonight. It’s supposed to be pink.
07:38 pm
Checking in very late...got out of my routine and almost forgot.
07:49 pm
whoever sent trade offers, thank you I accepted in order so if I didn't accept yours, I'm sorry, if I did, thank you!
07:50 pm
The Bella Luna Blue cold brew is amazing, such a pretty dark blue color thanks to the butterfly pea. Lemongrass just cold brews so awesomely
07:52 pm
I’ve never cold brewed it. Gonna have to try it that way!
09:34 pm
Happy Sunday all!
07:58 pm
Well hubby and I are back, and we had such a fun time in Austin. We ate as much as we could pack into a weekend of birthday indulgence, and while I had to be a bit more mindful than usual (Ozempic), I still ate a few of my favorites, especially umeboshi onigiri. We ate at his favorite pho restaurant “Pho Saigon Noodle House”, and at one of mine today “Nagoya Steak and Sushi”. I love the hibachi there. We also stopped at our favorite little Japanese shop called “Asahi Imports” where they sell freshly made oniguri, bento boxes, and other Japanese dishes. Other places we went to were the movies, and to a few manga stores (thats more of hubby’s hobby). Overall it was a wonderful weekend, and while we both had so much fun, we are glad to be home. He is having todays tea, which he says is good and would drink it again. I took a sip and it just isnt for me. Hope everyone had a good weekend.
08:04 pm
After my food poisoning, or glutening, last week I was just getting my tummy back when I had a dental emergency Monday night. Tuesday morning I had to have my lower back left molar removed and a bone graft put in. Even though I wasn’t really supposed to be doing anything yet, we took a trip yesterday. We hit the road at 4 am to drive north to Amarillo, a five hour drive without stops. My family had a party for my great aunt, she turned 90. We were at the party for three hours, then drove home. Today has been all about rest and recovery, while my sweet hubby worked out in the garden for me. I’m looking forward to getting back out there sometime next week. I hope y’all had a blessed Palm Sunday.
08:51 pm
Wow, you've had a hectic week! I wish you have a speedy recovery and rest well.
08:54 pm
Oh my goodness Michele, “may you live in interesting times,” indeed! 😝
11:25 pm
Doing a quick check in and I hope you all had a great Sunday!

Celebrated my son's 2nd bday today even though his actual one was the 8th and also had our towns Easter egg hunt so was a pretty busy day here. Just now sitting down to sip today's tea. I love the background notes and texture, but am finding it just a little too on the grassy side. It is still pretty good though.
09:03 pm
Awww!! That's awesome!!! Happy bday season!!!!
