The Adagio tea you'll need for this quick and easy recipe is
Always Nuts. Always Nuts is a beautiful pink-colored herbal tea with deliciously warm aromas. The touches of pink in the tea are from bright hibiscus and floral rose hips. The tangy fruit notes of these herbs are also blended with a delicious nutty toasted almond flavor. And to bring everything into balance, these flavors harmonize with sweet apple pieces, under-notes of cocoa nibs, and are spiced with cinnamon. Imagine enjoying all that goodness in your mug on a cold winter day.
What is a latte?
Simply put, a latte is a drink with milk- more lately than not, steamed or frothed milk. A classic latte is a drink of Italian origin, espresso with steamed milk. Variants on this drink commonly add additional flavors or replace the espresso with another beverage, and our treat would be considered an herbal tea latte.
What kind of milk should I use?
With this latte, any milk or milk alternative works great flavor-wise. Some kinds of milk work better than others if you want a thick, creamy foam. If you prefer dairy milk, you're in luck. These kinds of milk's high fat and sugars allow for a creamy foam, even from skim milk.
With milk alternatives, there are still plenty of great options. Oat milk is our best non-dairy frother, yielding a rich and creamy result. Almond, soy, and coconut milk will also deliver good results when the foam is at room temperature. Milk alternatives that are difficult to froth are hemp, rice, macadamia, and cashew.
How can I froth milk without a frother or steamer?
If you are without a milk steamer or proper frother, this recipe is still for you! Luckily there are a couple of quick at-home remedies to creating your creamy topper.
Shake in a Jar
Heat your milk in the microwave (45 seconds to 1 minute) or in a saucepan over the stovetop until the milk is lightly simmering. Pour warm milk into a mason jar or any jar with a lid. Tightly screw on the lid and shake vigorously for about a minute or until milk is at your desired consistency. Spoon foam over top of your latte
Whisking
Whisking with create a finer foam. Heat your milk in the microwave or on your stovetop. Pour milking into a mixing bowl and whisk until foam is made. Whisk to desired consistency.
Hand Mixer
This is an excellent option if you have a hand mixer with whisking attachments. Heat your milk in the microwave or on your stovetop. Pour milking into a mixing bowl and whisk until foam is created. Whisk to desired consistency.
Immersion Blender/ Stick Blender
The method works best with a tall narrow container to froth the milk in, or it can get messy. But this method will yield a lovely result. Heat your milk in the microwave or on your stovetop. Pour milk into a tall narrow container. Insert blender and blend for about a minute or until desired consistency is reached.
Blender
Using a regular blender creates a pleasant fine foam. Heat your milk in the microwave or on your stovetop. Pour milking into a blender and blend on medium speed for about a minute or until you see a foam beginning to form on top of the milk.
