AI Bot Summary
based on most popular reviews
Adagio's Earl Grey Moonlight tea receives praise for its complex, harmonious blend that gently modifies the traditional Earl Grey with softer undertones. Reviewers highlight the infusion of vanilla and creme, complimented by citrus notes from orange peel and a staple bergamot presence. The result is a smooth, comforting beverage that appeals even to those typically cautious of bergamot's boldness. The tea's ability to accommodate multiple steeps, with some preferring it with a touch of sweetener or cream, further adds to its versatility. Stands out aspects include its creamy texture and the capacity to transform a standard Earl Grey into a delightful, less intense experience. The blend's engaging aroma and balanced taste profile make it a cherished selection among tea enthusiasts, overcoming initial hesitations and transforming perceptions of traditional Earl Grey.

I appreciate the Earl blends for their personality. Earl Grey Moonlight is definitely smooth enough to be sipped while listening to jazz, creamy enough to be an after lunch treat, and with it's citrus presence it is reminiscent of a dream sickle. I enjoy the aroma of Bergamot as well as the taste of it. I find this blend delicious and I do multiple steeping, each cup as satisfying as the first cup. Excellent tea blend.

I like earl grey but the bergamot flavor in this tea is just too strong for me. I can’t taste any vanilla or cream. Even when I adjust the brewing time and temperature, I can barely drink it. I’ve taken to mixing this tea with other teas to tone down the flavor. Only then do I enjoy it.

This is another weekly go to for me, I love the Bergamot and I think it's well balanced with the vanilla and cream. What a lovely addition to my afternoon teas.

This is my favourite everyday afternoon tea. It's delicate tea flavour combined with a hint of orange marmalade and cream make it wonderful to drink English-style with a spot of milk or cream.

3 min @ 212 F. I want to give this tea 3.5 stars, it's a little bit better than a three star tea. I'm not the biggest fan of Ceylon, and that's the base adagio uses for their flavored black teas. I feel it's a little bit more bitter and astringent and than keemun for an Earl grey. While I like vanilla and cream as flavoring choices, they don't balance out that bitterness, just adding a slightly cloying aroma. That being said, my second infusion was much less bitter, some of the vanilla and crème flavoring were more mild, and I enjoyed it more. And, after adding some milk and crystal rock sugar, I feel like it really brought out the nicer aspects of the vanilla and crème flavoring, without overpowering the bergamot too much!

Ingredients & Lore

blended with black tea, orange, blue cornflowers, natural vanilla flavor, natural bergamot flavor & natural creme flavor

Le Voyage de La Lune is a 1902 film by Georges Méliès. One of the first science fiction films that follows a group of astronomers who visit the moon, where they encounter several strange sights and unfriendly aliens before returning home. It also features the iconic shot of the Man in the Moon with a rocket in his eye. Méliès is known for his pioneering special effects in film and was featured in the award-winning book and novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret. We think our tea is out of this world too, but no promises on the aliens.

This might be a ridiculous question, but the 'natural creme flavor' makes this non-vegan, correct? This was my favorite black tea, but I've gone vegan so I think I'll have to find a different Earl Grey!

I just brewed the first cup from a new bag (received 4/2017), and... it's different. It's got a coconut flavor, I think? Something like that. This has been my daily tea for years now, and this batch is not the same as usual. Has anyone else noticed this?

I'm fairly new to tea, but every time I brew this is turns bitter. I like to steep mine 3 to 5 minutes, but am I steeping it too long? Is the temperature (212) too high? How can I keep it from becoming too bitter without adding sugar?

How many steepings can you get with this for a 16-oz steeper. 2 teaspoons. We have just found this company and are trying to figure out the number of steepings compared to our old tea company.

Is there a way to find out how much caffeine is in one cup of this tea if brewed according to directions? I love strong black tea but have to watch my caffeine intake for health reasons.

Will there ever be a decaf version of this? It's one of my favorites--it would be nice to be able to drink it any time of the day!
